Gordonites united forever, and now we have our own blog to boot.  Even the Greeks would be impressed!

Since I have returned home and people ask "how was your trip?", I respond saying that it was "truly", and without a shadow of a doubt ,THE MOST EXCITING TIME I HAVE HAD IN MY LIFE!!!!!!!  I have dreamed of getting to the Holy Land since the 80"s. I know the Good Lord "hand-picked" this very trip (with Gordon ""and the "Gordonites" following) for my first visit to Israel through His Divine Timing when I met Bryant and Faith Wood in San Diego last October.

Gordon's presentations were "exquisite";and, he is "truly" a fountain of knowledge and wisdom,; as well as, awesome at sharing information, adventures, and personal experiences.  He made every day better than the previous day;  and his sense of humor (that he incorporated in his presentations)was "delightful".  I had no doubt that He is a man of God which also comes through clearly in his perspectives- and that was personally important to me on my first trip to Israel.

Speaking of "sense of humor", we were fortunate to have with us in our group two very natural comedians - Mike and Little Richard (keep a knockin") who kept us laughing the entire trip.!!  It is only since I have been home that the pain in my sides from laughter has at last subsided.  The group that we had was "very special" and "very unique"; and I have no doubt the Lord had His hand on this trip, and "the group"as well.  It could not have been so perfect.,otherwise.   And also "perfect" was the Gloria Hotel, its location and meals. that were "truly" exceptionally delicious with so much variety that even the most finicky of eaters could be satisfied with something on the menu.

Thank you, again, Gordon, Henry and Bea and Bryant Wood for some awesome memories that I shall treasure for a lifetime.!!!   I will pray for your ministry at ABR as I have personally seen and experienced the worth!!

We had an awesome trip with an awesome group of people!  We saw some very interesting things in the debris sifted, but the most lasting treasure was the comraderie we develoepd for each other in this group.

Gordon did a great job of explaining the archaeological significance of various sites around the area, and we became his people, "The Gordonites". Smile

I'll never forget this trip, nor would any of us, I'd dare to say.
Thank you ABR for giving us this opportunity.

I think that blogging originated in Greece. It comes from the Greek root bloggosSmile Just kiddingSmile

This was an awesome trip! We learned a lot, had tons of fun, and made great friends! Gordon was better than any tour guide, and the sifting project was such a great opportunity. I hope to do this again next year!

I thought this was a really special and unique trip. Other Israel tours have the, "If it's Tuesday, this must be Nazareth" feel. Our trip trip with ABR was different, because we were able to really settle into Jerusalem for 2 weeks. We worked alongside the Israelite locals and got to know a number of people in Jerusalem. We were able to "live" in Israel for a little while!

The trip leaders, Gordon and Stephanie both did a wonderful job. Gordon is very knowledgeable and he really made this an amazing trip. His understanding of the Bible, history and archaelogy combined with his contacts in Israel gave us both special insight and access to areas and people we wouldn't have had on a different type of trip.

This was definitely the best trip I've ever taken, and I've recommended it to friends for next year!

When I looked at ABR's website in January and saw that they were sponsoring a trip centered around Jerusalem and its history, I was very excited because I had been looking for a trip that would include the recent discoveries of Jerusalem. I wasn't disappointed! We stayed for two weeks inside the Old City at the Gloria Hotel (an experience in itself- wow!) and went through the warrens and mazes of Jerusalem and its history so that now we know them well. The group members "clicked" incredibly well and Gordan and Stephanie were wonderful in their handling of the various unplanned situations that came up i.e. a meeting with the Greek Orthodox Patriarche of Jerusalem. Gordan's knowledge of the land and the sites was a real "behind the scenes" look at history and archaeology. The time spent at the salvage operation was enlightening in giving us a truer perspective on the present situation at the Temple Mount rather than what is heard in the news. Thanks ABR for a great trip!
