Here is a review from a long time ABR supporter:

"Last night my wife and I watched our newly arrived DVD “Jericho Unearthed”.  We were both very impressed with the presentation.  I was well aware of the issues having read/studied Dr. Wood's stuff in both BAR from sometime in the 1990’s plus material in Bible and Spade and having heard in person several lectures.  My wife was not acquainted with the matter.  We both thought that the presentation was extremely understandable for folks without any background.  We plan to have our 7 year old grandchildren watch it for we believe the presentation will communicate well with them."

Well, If the Bible tells me that the Israelites by the power of God made the walls of Jericho come cratching down  is because that is the way it happened, I don't care if the archeologiest say ney, or yea! They have no say in this.  Who are we to believe God or men? While is true that evidence can give us proof of things and increase our faith or strenghten our  faith, for real and true Christians it is not necesary.

Right on Patricia! Science can never prove that Christ rose from the dead. But He did. I've been involved with 'science' for years and I've seen science books change every year.  We fallable men haven't a clue.

Yes, Patricia, that is true, but I don't think this is what is happening here in this video (though I haven't seen it yet). Archaeology can never "prove" the Bible; instead, archaeology helps us understand a little more about the Bible - including how the walls may have fallen.

Archaeology and history helps us to better understand the "hangings" of the book of Esther. Herodotus describes "hangings" as a form of impalement. This idea doesn't "prove" the Bible true, but it does give us another idea as to why this was so offensive and evil a device to be used on Mordecai (but ultimately Haman).

This was an excellent film, well produced with scholars on both sides and definitely not boring. If you are looking for a film to bolster your apologetic, this will do it. If you are skeptical of the event as a whole and want to gather more information, it will help you as well.

In the film, both sides agree on the location of Jericho, that the walls of Jericho fell outwardly and the city was burned to the ground. All three of these points are in line with the Biblical account. The difference in the archeologist perspectives remain in the dating of the event. One side argued for 1550 BC where the other said 1400 BC.

The arguments came down to the dating of pottery. If the earlier date was true, the wall would not have existed when the Israelites approached Jericho, this of course is not the Biblical account. The arguments for the later dating (Biblical account) were significantly stronger. The later dating for the pottery was demonstrated by contrasting duplicate pottery from the same time frame. This places the walls of Jericho collapsing during the time recorded in scripture.

I certainly recommend this film.

I am a Bible believer and am convince beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Bible is accurate, trustworthy, and most of all inerrant, infallible and given to us by God through the divine inspiration of its writers in a span of about 1500 years. With that said, as a scientist I take the evidence given and conclude that the Biblical account is far more credible that the collected evidence analyzed by fallible men who are prompt to err and reach a wrong conclusion.
I agree with Dr. Bryant Wood when looking at the existing evidence, and not the words of someone who may rely solely on radiometric dating methods of measuring time, which in may occasions have proven to be inconclusive.
Archeology, and scientific evidence in general gives more support to Biblical accuracy than what man attempts to disprove its stories. From the creation account in Genesis and all the Old Testament's stories, to the miracles of the lord Jesus Christ, His resurrection, and the yet coming events; All the Biblical accounts are absolutely accurate.
I will use this DVD to tell others about my Lord Jesus Christ. -- He Lives!

response to patricia:

dear patricia:

you are blessed with a strong faith and that you believe in the bible. had you have the same mindset and you believed in say, the koran, or the pearl of great price, nothing could have helped you find the truth.

our creator and loving father provided us these tools that those who disbelieve his word will not have any excuse at the judgment seat. for these do not even require belief but are verifiable facts that should lead to faith and repentance.

the bible does not teach us not to listen to others but to be open to what they have to share and offer; and,  at the same time requires us to also use his word as the final measurement of the truth behind what others share and offer.

these also are helpful when a believer's faith is so greatly challenged by his circumstances as he knows his faith is grounded in truth fully backed by observable facts. therefore, the promise of our father in heaven to work things for good for those who love him can be fully relied upon.

may you continue to be strong and blessed in your faith.

I figure people aren't going to believe anything I say if my approach to contradictory 'evidence' is to plug my ears and repeat "YOU LIE! BIBLE IS TRUE!" So I certainly recommend that we all be willing to listen to all sides of a discussion. (But they're still wrong if they don't agree with the Bible ;)

Thankfully, outfits like ABR and others have no problem finding sufficient evidence to give the naysayers insomnia till Judgment Day.
