The 2017 Associates for Biblical Research Friends Banquet is just around the corner, on Monday, April 17 at 6:30 p.m. I’m writing today because we need the help of our friends who pray for us and support us in our mission to uphold the authority of the Bible through intensive, on-site, original research and our ongoing writing and speaking outreach to the body of Christ and to seekers of truth.

First, let me share a little bit about our annual banquet. The banquet is held in beautiful Lancaster County, Pennsylvania at the Shady Maple Banquet and Conference Center at 129 Toddy Drive, East Earl, PA 17519. This year ABR welcomes Dr. Frank Turek as our keynote speaker. Dr. Turek is President of Cross-Examined.org, a powerful apologetic ministry that our Lord is using to reach across the generations to those seeking answers to fundamental questions about Jesus, the Bible, and Truth.

Frank Turek

Frank presents powerful and entertaining evidence for Christianity at churches, high schools and secular college campuses. He has also debated several prominent atheists including Christopher Hitchens and David Silverman, president of American Atheists. Frank is a popular guest in the media as a leading apologetics expert and cultural commentator. He has appeared on hundreds of radio programs and many top TV programs, including The O’Reilly Factor, Hannity, Faith Under Fire, and Politically Incorrect. He also writes a column for Townhall.com and several other sites. A former aviator in the US Navy, Frank has a master’s degree from George Washington University and a doctorate from Southern Evangelical Seminary. The ABR ministry is privileged and blessed to have Dr. Turek share his passion for the truth of the Gospel and the authority of the Bible with the ABR family.

This banquet is a wonderful way for those in the northeastern United States to meet our staff and board of directors, and to hear about our new projects and research as well as what the Lord has done over the past year in the ministry of ABR. It offers a soul-warming evening of fellowship and an important opportunity for our friends to give financially to support our work. If you can join us for the banquet, we warmly and enthusiastically encourage you to do so! Tickets are available NOW by contacting ABR at this ticket link, or by calling ABR at 800-430-0008.

You may also sponsor a table and bring friends along to share in our celebration and to help support ABR. Table sponsorships are a bit down this year, and we are asking those who will not be able to attend the banquet to consider the gift of a table sponsorship. Table sponsorships are $300 per table, and allow us to seat additional guests for the banquet. Would you be so kind as to consider a table sponsorship this year, or possibly a gift toward the expenses of our banquet? Your help is needed and will be greatly appreciated!

We do hope to see many of you on Monday, April 17 at 6:30 p.m. to celebrate all that God is doing at ABR! And a very big thank you to those of you who can send a gift at this time, or sponsor a table. We are grateful for your prayers and your support now, and throughout the year!
